You are cordially invited to join the Midwest Chapter of RICS Americas for a presentation and open panel discussion on Public Private Partnerships–Infrastructure and Energy Transmission and Distribution.  PPP for infrastructure development has grown rapidly, but a key infrastructure issue still below the radar is energy distribution.  Electricity demand has increased by about 25% since 1990, but construction of transmission facilities decreased by 30 percent.

Hindering the growth of PPP market in the US:

·        lack of a consistent regulatory framework;

·        a clear understanding of Public to Private sector transfer of risk; and

·        a lack of credible data on whole life costs.

About our speakers:

Ryan Brady is the Manager of Public Private Partnerships for Faithful+Gould
Bart DeLacy MRICS is the Senior Managing Director, Valuation Consulting / Energy Group of Cushman & Wakefield
Dr. George Gross is professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois
